If writers had changed the ending, they’d delight some fans of the book (myself included), but others would leave the theaters seriously miffed. As the years go by, Dex and Em begin to lead separate liveslives very different from the people they once. But after only one day together, they cannot stop thinking about one another.
However, the films music rendered by Harris Jayaraj is receiving love from the music lovers and film buffs.
DAY ONE MOVIE MOVIE
The pilot was directed by Alex Graves, who previously directed the pilot episodes for the Fox TV series Fringe and Journeyman. Paramount Pictures hopes to make box office noise with A Quiet Place: Day One, the next installment in the hit horror movie franchise that will now hit theaters on. The Legend made a business of Rs 2 Crore in Tamil Nadu on the release day. They both know that the next day, after college graduation, they must go their separate ways. Day One was a planned NBC sci-fi television series about apartment residents that survive an unknown worldwide cataclysm, that destroys modern infrastructure. In a way, adapting One Day was something of a lose-lose situation from the get-go. It’s 1988 and Dexter Mayhew and Emma Morley have only just met. Hollywood could have made it happen, right?! Of course, had the film’s writers altered it, it likely would have caused as much ire as the My Sister’s Keeper adaptation, which delivered a shiny, happy ending that was dramatically different than the final pages of Jodi Picoult’s beloved book. (Gasp!) I know, it sounds crazy, but, loving Nicholls’ characters, I found myself wishing Emma and Dexter would find their happily ever after on the big screen. So when I first found out One Day was being made into a movie, I began to hope the film’s writers would commit the ultimate Hollywood sin and change the ending.
